Peace Bridge has joined The Interagency Group (IAG), an association of northern toll agencies spanning
twelve states that have committed to offering a fully interoperable
electronic toll collection system known as E-ZPass for motorists using
the toll roads, bridges and tunnels in the region.
The
E-ZPass electronic toll collection technology was first introduced in
the Northeastern United States in 1993. The technology was developed as
a revolutionary technique for collecting tolls and increasing vehicle
capacity at toll plazas. Electronic toll collection systems like E-ZPass,
coupled with dedicated toll lanes, are now used worldwide to replace
traditional stop-and-pay toll collection.
